Product Care Guide
HUHUA footwear is handcrafted by our skilled artisans. Each product is unique and meticulously made, with every pair of shoes reflecting the hands that created it. This uniqueness tells its own story, which is why small imperfections are signs of its quality and individuality. We use only the finest materials.
Please note: Moisture, repeated friction or rubbing, rough or sharp surfaces, solvents or abrasive substances, items that can release colored pigments - all these can lead to the deterioration of the footwear.
Humidity and constant friction can change the appearance of the shoes. To protect your footwear, store them in a cool, dry place, preferably inside the dust bag provided with your purchase.
The insoles of HUHUA shoes are made from genuine leather and may naturally wear out over time, which should not be considered a manufacturing defect.
Nappa Leather
Nappa leather is a soft, supple, and very porous natural material that tends to stretch with use. It is important to understand this characteristic when purchasing.
Prolonged exposure to direct light may alter the color of nappa leather. Avoid direct contact with solvents, abrasive substances, or items that could release colored pigments. Deep stains may cause irreversible color changes, especially on light colored leather.
Suede / Buckskin
Suede is a highly porous natural material that easily absorbs liquids. Despite numerous treatments, suede can transfer color.
Avoid contact with solvents, abrasive materials, and items that could release colored pigments. Deep stains may cause irreversible color changes. As a precaution, suede can be treated with a specific waterproof anti-stain spray available at non-specialized stores.
Glitter
Selene is a microfiber fabric coated with a glittery film through heat application. The glitter film consists of crystal powder on transparent plastic.
Handle glitter models with care. Contact and rubbing can cause irreversible material loss and discoloration. Small material loss is normal and not a defect. Avoid extreme temperatures and humidity, which can damage the plastic film. Store each shoe in separate bags to prevent contact.
Patent Leather
Avoid extreme temperature changes and moisture, which can damage the plastic film covering the leather. High temperatures can cause the material to crumble, while low temperatures can make it stiff and prone to cracking. Keep away from solvents, abrasive materials, and anything that might release colored pigments.
Store each shoe in separate bags to prevent direct contact.
Calfskin
Calfskin is a durable natural material that needs proper care to prevent deterioration. Florence calfskin undergoes a waterproofing process using polishing waxes. For longer-lasting effects, use waterproof and stain-proof sprays available at non-specialized stores.
Avoid contact with solvents, abrasive materials, and items that could release colored pigments.
Hanoi
Hanoi is a full-grain natural leather with a tumbled effect, made with Italian vegetable tanning, creating a vintage-looking shoe with natural and authentic coloring. Avoid contact with solvents, abrasive materials, and items that could release colored pigments. Deep stains may cause irreversible color changes.
Satin
Satin is a durable fabric that retains its shape over time.
Avoid exposing wet shoes to direct sunlight or heat sources. Let them dry thoroughly in a cool, ventilated area.
Keep away from solvents, abrasive materials, and items that could release colored pigments. Deep stains, especially on light colors, may cause irreversible color changes.
Flash
Flash is metallized nappa leather with a thin laminated foil. Nappa leather stretches with use. This material may wrinkle or ripple with continuous bending, which is normal and not a defect. Direct light exposure can change the color. Avoid contact with solvents, abrasive materials, and items that could release colored pigments.
Deep stains may cause irreversible color changes.
